Akron Area YMCA offers membership for Youth and Adults in various categories ranging in price from $20.81 for YOUTH (under 18) to a FAMILY ($72.52. The prices are per month, including tax. Specific prices are below. Please ask about our Sliding Membership Scale as we strive to make our memberships affordable to all.

Adult $49.95 Individual (26 - 64 years)

Family 2-Person $66.39 - 2 people living at the same address

Family $72.54 - 2 adults at the address + dependent (in-home) children (under 25 years old)

Older Adult $40.73 - Individual 65 or over

Older Adult Couple $55.31 - Couple living at same address, one 65 or older

Young Adult $30.33 - Individual (18 - 25 years)

Youth $20.81 - Child under 18 years of age

Although we are a membership-based organization, we do encourage folks to try us out. A one-time “TRY THE Y” pass is available to download and present to the front desk staff at one of our (6) membership locations. Those using this pass must bring in a valid ID.

In addition, a current Y member can bring in up to (2) Individual or (1) Family per day. All Guests are required to present a valid ID upon entering. Guests do have to pay a daily fee: $5 per Youth, $10 per Adult, and $20 per Family

There are many benefits to being a member of the YMCA, a leading charitable organization. But here’s a start:

  • Nationwide access: your membership gets you in to more than 2,400 participating Y's across the country! Please note that Nationwide access may not apply for insurance-based memberships, like Silver Sneakers or Active and Fit. 

We do have a Code of Conduct that includes behavior, dress codes and the consequences for acting in a manner not appropriate for an organization based in “golden rule” values and expectations.

We offer two methods of payment. The first is a monthly bank draft or credit card draft. The second option allows you to pay for the entire year's membership at once. Paid annual memberships earn one month free of charge; you pay for 12 months and get 13 months.
