Kishan Patel is the new Executive Director of the Firestone Park YMCA. He replaced Hayley Rayl, who served in that position for 5 years, before moving to her new role as Executive Director of the Green Family YMCA. The two leaders traded locations as Patel was most recently the Youth Enrichment Director at the Green branch of the Akron Area YMCA Association.
Patel, who has worked for the Akron Area YMCA since 2015, brings experience in sports programming, wellness coaching and community engagement. He is also a devout Hindu and proud member of the Y’s ADEI (Anti-Racist, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) committee.
“I’m really looking forward to connecting with the members and the Firestone Park community to find more ways for us to grow and learn together,” said Patel.
A meet/greet for Kishan Patel is scheduled for Thursday, May 30 from 9 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Firestone Park YMCA, 350 E. Wilbeth Road, Akron 44301.
